ECONOMY WINS WITH DUAL CITIZENSHIP

The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry reckons with a positive development if dual citizenship will be introduced in Hungary. The appearance of a potential supply of labour power can be added to the acceleration of incoming capital and it can diminish black economy, too.

László Parragh, chairman of the chamber said this reckoned balance can bring already in the first year a HUF 34,1 billion profit which will increase with the years. There is about 20 000 families’ immigration expected in the first year, in the next fifteen years about 100 000 families are expected to settle in Hungary. Mr Parragh has criticized the Hungarian political elite because the referendum had been poorly prepared and the expected effects had not been pointed out for the citizens.
