MINISTRY OF DEFENCE PREPARES SUSPICIOUS PRIVATIZATION

The company of the entrepreneur who had given a loan for Ferenc Juhász, Minister of Defence to buy his house worth HUF 95 million now has a decisive role in a firm which deals with the processing and sale of scrap metal.

The son of the entrepreneur from this April has become the president of the board of directors in a firm to be sold by the Ministry of Defence – this firm annihilates the tanks withdrawn from the army. Tibor Füzesi’s Interscrap Ltd had bought a decisive package of property in Metál-Brikett Ltd last July and the assembly of the firm decided quickly to withdraw more than HUF 100 million from the capital of the firm.

In Metál-Brikett Ltd several members of the Füzesi family take part and it is said that Attila Füzesi prepares the privatization of Currus Holding, a company of the Ministry which has a profile to sell or annihilate tanks withdrawn from the Hungarian army. Attila Füzesi had been also the member of the board of directors of another Ministry company, that of Verga Forestry in Veszprém from February 2003 to August 2004.
