The company won the money on a tender by central subisidies earmarked for regional development. In the company Mr Wekler has only 6,6 pc ownership, the rest is owned by his family. The subsidy is to be used for buying machines, building fences, and creating new jobs.
The MP said he did not play any part in the decision of the South Trans-Danubian Reginal Development Council. Earlier in summer there was a political storm about another state subsidy of HUF 270 million received by the Wekler family which ended with Ferenc Wekler’s resignation from his post of deputy Speaker.
