VOLÁNBUSZ COMPANY: SLY PRIVATIZATION OF ASSETS

For the time being the government does not consider the privatization of Volán companies but this does not prevent the leaders of Volánbusz Company to take out profitable services and operations from the activities of the state holding.

The real estates of the holding have been sold, the repair works have been also given to subcontractors and the daily operation is maintained mainly by selling more properties of the holding. Volánbusz operates almost one thousand buses in the country and its deficit is increasing because of spendthrift measures like hiring a lawyer’s office for an annual HUF 35 million instead of employing a company lawyer.
