Yesterday in Szabadka the summit conference of Hungarian organizations beyond the border ended with accepting a final communiqué about dual citizenship. The members of the conference demand on the basis of the majority of 'yes' votes of the referendum and on behalf of their communities that the Hungarian parliament pass a bill on dual citizenship without delay. To support this demand they are going to turn to President Mádl in a letter. The conference has decided to bring about the Forum of Hungarian Organizations Beyond the Borders. Premier Gyurcsány in a statement to MTI Hungarian News Agency said he could not represent partial interests and his government wanted to discuss only its own ideas about the solution of the problem. Fidesz supports the demands put forward in Szabadka while the Hungarian Democratic Forum urges four-party talks in the issue.
