The material served to operate missiles back in the ’eighties, the announcement of the General Staff of the Hungarian Army says. It is supposed that the transportation has been made by a person belonging to Premier Gyurcsány’s family acquaintances for HUF 748 million. The several hundred tons of fuel has been transported by a company with HUF 4 million registered capital (Solar Ltd).

János Dési, head of the company has recognized he was once partner of the brother of Premier Gyurcsány’s mother-in-law but denied this had anything to do in winning the tender. János Dési formerly was a member of the supervising committee of GTV Holding, along with Gábor Juhász, now political state secretary of the Ministry of the Interior. Solar Ltd has taken part only in the organization of the transportation, the annihilation of the material will be the job of the subcontractor, the Russian company called 000 Prohim 2. Ferenc Bese, head of the acquisition office of the Ministry of Defence said earlier the position of Solar Ltd was stronger not only because of its good Russian relations but for the fact that it had given a HUF 40 million cheaper bid than its Ukrainian competitor.
