One of the teachers of a grammar school in Budapest claims young people starting out on a career have the same treatment and they have no chance for years to be given a permanent position ensuring a salary for the holidays. Because of the great unemployment rate of teachers young people are forced to accept even such offers. The school-leaving examination tests have been corrected by teachers who were able to give an invoice but several teachers had to provide an invoice from the company of their parents or relatives. János Sipos, undersecretary of the Ministry of Education said the ministry had no competence in supervising contracts concluded by teachers. ’They should be more careful about the conditions of the contracts’, he said.
