IDU is an organization which comprises about 70 conservative and Christian Democratic parties from all over the world. Viktor Orbán, chairman of Fidesz said in his lecture that Hungary was surrounded from time to time with insecure and unstable countries and its economic growth also slowed down but in spite of these difficulties Hungary would be able to get out of its troubles.
’It is necessary to solve the problem in the Balkan. For us, Hungarians it is vital to make the world remember that the region to the South of Hungary is still burdened with unsettled problems. This affects the future of Serbia and that of 300 thousand Hungarians living in the Voivodina whose fate is very insecure. They have a good reason to be afraid of the Serbian radicals and the Serbian state does not fullfil its duties to protect all its citizens.’
