One of the topics Orban and Forro discussed was Slovakia's presidential elections coming up on Saturday. In this context, they stressed the importance of unity and cohesion. Krisztian Forro noted that the vote is not primarily about his person, but about the Hungarian community in Slovakia showing that Hungarians are there and that Hungarian will be spoken in Slovakia even in a thousand years' time.
During their talks on Monday, Orban and Forro highlighted the importance of the Visegrad Four Group (V4), arguing that despite differences of opinion, Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia should find common ground as they can achieve more together.
Regarding the war in Ukraine, Viktor Orban and Krisztian Forro called for a ceasefire and peace talks, and took a stance against sending weapons or troops to Ukraine, which is diametrically opposed to Hungary's interests.
