According to recent surveys the expenses paid for social purposes are far below the average of those in the European Union. The Hungarian firms see their future in EU very pessimitically and there is a great number of companies which have not done anything for preparing to the accession yet. Bruxinfo, referring to the recent survey of Eurochambres also writes that Hungarian firms show the least interest in the EU market regulations. 42 pc of Hungarian firms claim they have not even started preparation for the membership while 18 pc are completely indifferent in the matter of which is the highest rate among acceding countries. Almost a quarter of all Hungarian firms are pessimistic.
