The Military Council of the Metropolitan Court of Appeals wants a new criminal process to be started in the case of János Bácskai because of procedural mistakes and because of an unfounded verdict. Brig.-Gen. János Bácskai has been suspended in his position as head of the anti-mafia centre as he became involved in the K&H Equities scandal. Attila Kulcsár probably will be heard by the Military Council of Csongrád County. The lawyer of János Bácskai said the records of the tapped phone conversations should not have been used against his client as the secret tapping served the protection of the Financial Supervision of Financial Institutions (PSZÁF) after its head’s assault. Probably politicians like András Tóth or László Kodela will be heard again as witnesses in the case.
