Miklós Paizs wanted to provoke the right wing – this has been recognized by him in an interview. The member of the staff of Tilos Rádió read out his ’poem’ in Budapest Rádió, in a programme of János Fiala in October. Miklós Paizs calls on skinning Viktor Orbán alive, disemboweling István Lovas, hanging right wingers and kicking the journalists of Magyar Nemzet in the head. Miklós Paizs who calls himself ’Sickratman’ sent the text of his song to István Lovas but in spite of his expectations the journalist did not react to the provocation, says Index, an internet portal. The programme director of Budapest Rádió, Tibor Szegő tried to defend himself that the text in question was an ’artistic’ work while Annamária Szalai, a member of the Broadcasting Authority who initiated a special investigation said János Fiala was just a victim of provocation. Ms Szalai (Fidesz) wants to investigate the case of Diana Bácsfi who could also air her Hungarist views in Budapest Rádió. János Hollós, chairman of the Union of Electronic Journalists said there was no room for anyone who wanted to liquidate other people for their views. ’This is open racism and not art’, he added. József Szikora, chairman oif the Catholic Journalists said this was rather a graffiti to be read in men’s toilets than a ’poem’ and it was a tragedy that some people wished to publish it while Pál Eötvös, chairman of the Association of Hungarian Journalists (former editor-in-chief of Népszabadság) said this was not an outstanding work of literature, not to be compared to Petőfi’s famous ’Hang All the Kings’. János Fiala will devote his Friday programme entirely to this issue.
