Some experts foretold last year when the extra bank tax was introduced that the banks would make their clients pay the additional tax in spite of the fact that they made an exceedingly high profit. Some banks have already raised the price of their services while others prepare to do so. When the special tax was announced, the Ministry of Finance said it was not imaginable that service charges would rise in consequence of the special tax. The comparative survey of the State Supervision of Financial Organizations points out that older community banks demand higher charges than newer ones which had been formerly connected only with companies.
