It would be necessary to have HUF 800 millions to fight the housing mafia effectively but the central budget for 2005 has no money for this. Dénes Kosztolányi MP (Fidesz) said to Magyar Nemzet the government has made this ommission intentionally and there is no chance now to execute the plans accepted by the government last summer. The association for protecting persons damaged by the housing mafia has received HUF 50 million but a part of this sum was taken away from another NGO of a similar profile. The Association of Fellow Sufferers (Sors-Társak Egyesülete) considers a national petition to modify the laws and to find the responsibility for the ommission of revealing the actions of the housing mafia.
