BIG BUSINESS IN OFFICE TECHNOLOGY

Trendex Holding has received recently a dazzling amount of state commissions recently. Among the leaders of the firm selling office technology one can find Zoltán Antalóczi from 2004. Mr Antalóczy is a member of the supervising committee of Altus Company owned by Premier Gyurcsány. It turns out from the data of different ministries that several ministries have commissioned Trendex Holding since the change of government. Perhaps the most enthusiastic commissioner was the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which concluded a contract with the company in May 2004 for an unspecified time to maintain the telecommunication system of Hungarian embassies which costs the ministry a monthly HUF 16 million. The employees of Trendex have already appeared in Bangkok, Damascus, Tehran, Dublin, Oslo, Ankara, and Nairobi. The employees of Trendex must have undergone a ’C’ type security screening, too and they can be accomodated in the suites provided for guests in the embassies. Trendex Holding maintains the telecommunication system of the two buildings of the Foreign Ministry in Budapest, too, for another HUF two millions monthly. The Ministry of Economy and Transport paid Trendex last year HUF 1,16 million for the maintenance of the telephone exchange of the Ministry, and a similar contract has been concluded with the Ministry of Finance. The government spokesperson said Trendex Holding had been commissioned by the former government, too.
