Apart from ministries the Hungarian Post Company has commissioned Trendex Company, too. The firm deals with office technology and Zoltán Antalóczy has been one of its leaders since 1999. Zoltán Antalóczy is a member of the supervising committee of Premier Gyurcsány’s Altus Company. Mr Antalóczy is also the head of one of the offices of the National Sport Office though this has not commissioned Trendex Company yet. Pál Szabó, director general of Hungarian Post Company had been one of the leaders of Pacific East Company, a majority owner of Trendex. Tamás Tomecskó, spokesman of Hungarian Post Company said it was not embarrassing that Mr Szabó had been employed by Trendex.
He said the Post Company commissioned firms without tender by acquisition contracts and Trendex represented several other big firms of office technology. Trendex has contacts with several ministries, the Ministry of Informatics has a contract of HUF 811 million with the firm, the other big commissioner of Trendex has been the Foreign Ministry which pays a monthly HUF 16 million for the maintenance of the telecommunication system of its embassies.
