With a couple of days of delay this week they will reduce the number of potholes below 200 in Budapest according to Pál Vajda, deputy mayor of Budapest. He promised earlier that by the end of May they would mend the several thousand potholes on roads. He said there were less than 300 potholes now in the city on the main roads but his promise would not refer to streets maintained by the districts. This year HUF 7,5 billion goes for repairing the roads and from this HUF 1,6 billion for mending the potholes.
