The Immigration Office belonging to the Ministry of the Interior operates a V.I.P. department where only rich foreign citizens or members of the American Chamber of Commerce are supposed to arrange the problem of their residence permits, claims a recent special issue of Budapest Sun. This has been confirmed by one of the clients of the ’V.I.P. class’. The Immigration Office has not reacted so far.
