In the structure of MÁV (Hungarian State Railways) there will be changes as well from January 1: there will be four independent departments with separate expenditure and staff with newly elected leaders. The four departments will be part of the general management which operates as strategic headquarters, in accordance with EU directives about transparency of functions. The system of state subsidies will remain unchanged in 2003.
