Two years ago eight persons were charged in a process against Duna Profit Cooperative. The firm caused a damage of HUF 1,1 billion to more than one thousand investors. Last year several other real estate cooperatives were also investigated by the police, one of them, Vertical-Invest Cooperative caused a loss of HUF 1,5 billion to the investors. The main suspect of the fraud, Zoltán Klivinyi, an entrepreneur close to the Free Democrats, is in custody. Both coperatives have been registered by the lawyer’s office of the present Minister of Justice, Bárándy and Son.
