INTERROGATIONS GOING ON TO CLEAR THE FATE OF VANISHED MILLIONS OF DOLLARS

There is a turn expected in autumn in the case of the vanished 62 million dollars. This information has come from the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office. At present the detectives hear the witnesses, most of them entrepreneurs of companies closely attached to the Hungarian Socialist Party who ’helped’ to invest the millions of dollars of the Russian state debt.

Premier Medgyessy had to cancel this state debt when he made an official visit to Moscow in December 2002 as the Russians regarded the sum already paid. The companies were all affected in the so-called ’oilgate’ scandal and the police started to investigate after the Government Supervision Office had filed an official report in July 2003.
