MEDICINES FROM BAGS

The State Public Health Office has qualified illegal the practice of the Clinic of Transplantation and Surgery that transplant patients get their medicines after a control examination in the corridor from a bag.

The Ministry of Health ordered an inquiry into the case after the appearance of an article in Magyar Nemzet describing the situation. The chief pharmacist of the State Public Health Office said they stopped the practice and wanted to find people responsible for it though the medicines were of good quality. Several phonecalls confirmed that such a practice was widely spread in other hospitals, too.
