Several hundred civil servants claim their dismissal was illegal as the authorities disregarded the agreement signed by the government and the trade unions. Several hundred suits have been submitted to Labour Courts in connection with forced retirements and withheld bonuses. Yesterday Fidesz called on the government to pay out immediately the so-called 13th month salaries withheld by the government in 2004, referring to the news that thousand members of the Independent Union of Policemen have sued the state for their withheld salaries.
