Yesterday Hír TV, a private news channel introduced a new image and programme structure. Hír TV is the first news channel in Hungary which wants to offer news independently and objectively, with well-balanced discussions and analyses, cooperating on a larger scale with BBC. The anchors of the news make fact-finding reports and start new programmes. Hír TV was started in December 2002 as a unique news television channel. The up-to-date informations also appear in scrolls, and ninety pc of all the programmes can be regarded as public service, Mónika Gyurity, programme manager of Hír TV said. The evening news programme at 21 p.m. will be the most detailed one and on Sunday evenings there will be a documentary film shot about recent problems in Hungary and in the neighbouring countries.. Philip Rákay and Szilveszter Ókovács will have a new programme called Special Edition on Saturdays while Mária Borbás will have a series called Family Story about well-known families whose life can be regarded as an example for many families who can see such stories only in soap operas.
