Last year Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány’s income increased from 81 million to HUF 100 million, and only a part of it is public spending – Boglár László government spokesperson said it was a private business. In 2004 Ferenc Somogyi, Minister of Foreign Affairs had an income of HUF 64,7 million. The declaration of assets of the members of the government became public yesterday. Premier Gyurcsány has a 50 m2 flat in Pápa and he has a bank account with about HUF 1 million, his house in Budapest has been registered as the property of his wife. The Prime Minister has business interests in three companies and much of his income is due to dividends from his shares, mainly from Altus Company. Today János Kóka, Minister of Economy, Tibor Draskovics, Minister of Finance, and András Bozóki, Minister of Culture are expected to submit their declaration of assets obligatory for members of the government who are not MPs at the same time.
