Though two weeks ago the State Privatization and Property Management Company announced officially that the privatization of Tokaj Merchant House Company was not considered in any way, Magyar Nemzet has been informed that the State Privatization and Property Management Company has a programme for 2005 which contains the sale of Tokaj Company on a price of HUF 3,6 billion.
Tokaj Company had an annual sales of HUF 3,8 billion and made a net profit of HUF 235 million in 2004. Last year there was an attempt to sell the shares of Tokaj Company and there were two open tenders without any result. A bargaining process also proved unsuccessful.
