This is the beginning of a train of lawsuits trying to enforce the law to make public buildings approachable for the disabled. The Union does not want to start a massive process of lawsuits that is why they have selected only a few public buildings to warn the authorities. The legal basis of the suits is the law of equal opportunities and the construction law. The law prescribes that all public buildings should be accessible for the disabled until January 2005 but even new buildings like the Court of Appeals in Győr lack the necessary facilities. The government has modified the deadline recently as December 31, 2010.
