The restrictions are problematic, however, as there is no exact definition for a pothole. According to Pál Vajda, deputy mayor of Budapest a pothole is a bump which forces drivers to a sudden change of direction. Experts of the company regard a pothole really dangerous when it is deeper than ten cms. Until this May there were 2800 complaints registered and HUF 39 million was paid for damages. It is interesting that no complaints have been filed by metropolitan companies operating a great car fleet like Budapest Public Transport Company or ambulances and fire stations.
