The sale of the real estate is referring to the responsibility of Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány who has been suspected of tax evasion. The pro-government daily Népszava claimed in its Saturday issue that the term of limitation was ten years but in the case of the emergence of any new evidence for a crime the lapse period was counted from that time. The left-liberal press has been guessing since last Wednesday when Premier Gyurcsány was heard by the special parliamentary committee if Tamás Deutsch MP (Fidesz), member of the special committee would file a suit or not in the case against the Prime Minister. Tamás Deutsch said he would report the case to the police ’within the shortest time possible’ because the Premier had made an illegal profit of nearly HUF 250 million by renting, renovating and selling a state property. If an investigation takes place into the case the examination of the responsibility of state administration at that time will be also unavoidable.
