Yesterday Minister of Economy János Kóka outlined the new government programme to help Hungarian entrepreneurs. He said the programme called One hundred steps for Hungarian entrepreneurs would concentrate the different minor proghrammes and the financial sources would be increased by HUF several hundred billions.
The new system of loans and guarantees will assist mainly the small and medium enterprises while the so-called Széchenyi credit card will have an upper limit of HUF 25 million from January. Minister Kóka repeated his former statement that the markets reacted calmly to the qualification of Fitch Ratings and called the privatization of Budapest Airport ’the deal of the decade’ adding that the opposition had no professional argument against the sale. He confirmed that British and German bids remained effective in the tender. András Tállai MP (Fidesz) said the government had made the Hungarian entrepreneurs bankrupt and now it played the role of the benefactor.
