SIX TRADE UNION ACES WIN ALL

It seems that only six people are able to fill the most important posts of different trade unions like Liga (League), the Free Trade Union of Railway Workers (VDSZSZ) or the Mutual Voluntary Fund of Self-help of Railwaymen (VÖKKÖP). Some trade union leaders have a function in their own organization or with their employers.

István Gaskó is president of several organizations. He is head of Liga, VDSZSZ in MÁV Company, the Association of VDSZSZ, he is chairman of the Supervision Board of VÖKKÖP, and member of the Supervision Board of MÁV Company. Similar trade union aces are Balázs Bárány, Zoltán Hangonyi, László Gelencsér, Mrs Judit Máté Bertók, Zsolt Záhonyi – their functions intertwine within and amond different trade unions. These six genial people amass a huge salary partly from the membership, partly from the employers. Mr Gaskó’ salary must be a monthly HUF 1-1,5 million and the other talented trade union leaders earn at least HUF half a million.
