DISABLED PERSONS TO BE FIRED

At least forty thousand disabled persons’ jobs are in danger because of the government restrictions. From April dismissals may be started so unprecedented demostrations are expected.

The Trade Union of Domestic Industry and Catering Services which has undertaken the representation of the interests of the disabled workers wants to convene the national strike committee. At present about one hundred firms offer jobs for the disabled, mainly in light industry but the system has collapsed because of the government restriction this year which have taken away almost HUF 10 billion state support from the firms.
