The former Premier wants to reorganize the public life in Budapest to save the Hungarian capital. There has been a permanent debate between Budapest and the rest of Hungary but the new centre will have to stop senseless debates and help to build the Budapest of the 21th century.’If the heart of the country is ill, the whole country is ill’, said Viktor Orbán. Zoltán Cselovszky, the would-be leader of the centre said the population of Budapest decreases by six persons per hour which shows the trouble while Gábor Demszky, Mayor of Budapest has refused the charges claiming that it was the Orbán government which stopped the development of Budapest in 1998 though he expressed his wish to listen to Viktor Orbán’s proposals to help Budapest.
