SCHMITT: ’REMOVE RON WERBER’

Pál Schmitt, vice chairman of Fidesz has asked Prime Minister Péter Medgyessy to help to remove Ron Werber, the campaign manager of the Hungarian Socialist Party as the Israeli adviser has incited to a violent campaign and to offend election laws.

The government spokesman in response mentioned the holocaust memorial day, saying that Mr Schmitt’s words belonged to the retorics of a time which was history now. Pál Schmitt said Fidesz wanted an open and friendly campaign not a war. Ron Werber called Fidesz fascists and a ’paranoid gang’ while Ildikó Lendvai, faction leader of the Socialists promised that her party would keep all written and unwritten laws in the election campaign.
