STATE COMMISSIONS IN GYURCSÁNY’S CIRCLES

Péter Szijjártó MP (Fidesz) claims, based on informations from ministries, that different companies belonging to Ferenc Gyurcsány, Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs and his circle of interests have received HUF 1 billion from the state. The press officer of the ministry refused the charges saying Mr Gyurcsány had nothing to do with the firms mentioned.

The affected companies all belong to Gyurcsány’s network of connections according to Mr Szijjártó’s briefing held yesterday. He mentioned Budapest Airport Company, its president of the board of directors was Piroska Apró, mother-in-law of Mr Gyurcsány, but he mentioned Enviroinvest Ltd, too, which was owned by Gyurcsány’s former company, Altus, and Perfect Holding. Ferenc Gyurcsány announced two years ago he would not make business with the state and would not play an active part in his companies. Péter Szijjártó said not only Ferenc Gyurcsány’s credibility became questionable but the Premier’s, too as Péter Medgyessy removed Elemér Kiss from the post of the minister leading the Prime Minister’s Office for HUF 30 million transferred to his former lawyer’s office. Ferenc Gyurcsány wants to file a suit for slander.
