Boris Tadic, chairman of the Serbian Democratic Party who has a good chance to win the post of the president has condemned the atrocities affecting minorities. Yesterday the politician during his official visit in Hungary met László Kovács, Foreign Minister and Viktor Orbán, former Premier, then visited Szentendre, a town where most Serbs live in Hungary. Tadic said the atrocities against Hungarians were not widely spread but they needed immediate reaction to fight for democratic values. László Kovács said Serbia could count on the support of Hungary to promote the accession of Serbia to the European Union while concerning the Voivodina he mentioned he had a telephone conversation with József Kasza, president of the Hungarian Union there who confirmed that the minority policy of the Serbian Democratic Party was a great support to Hungarians living in the Voivodina.
