According to doctors more and more people turn to them with complaints of vomiting and diarrhoea in Esztergom and its region. As it has been reported the incinerator of hazardous waste in Dorog owned by Onyx Ltd in French possession had emitted some oily emulsion and a so far unknown sort and quantity of waste of the medicine industry, polluting Little Danube. In Esztergom it is forbidden to drink tap water, and an administrative and police procedure has been started against Onyx Ltd. Tamás Medgyes, Mayor of Esztergom said to Magyar Nemzet that most of the patients were children or young people and the pollution had reached the region where the wells were giving water for Esztergom. The self-government will proceed against Onyx not only for the damages of the pollution but because the information about it was too late. The town must deliver water for the citizens which costs daily HUF 5 million. The Green section of Fidesz says the citizens of Dorog are also in danger but the local self-government says only children under 12 are proposed not to drink tap water there.
