Ferenc Gyurcsány hosts the left-wing conference called ’Progressive governance’ starting today at Balatonőszöd from the taxpayers’ money. There are about 2600 participants expected from abroad. Premiers Tony Blair, Adrian Nastase, and Zapatero are among the invited people, along with three heads of state and some two hundred ministers. The security costs at least HUF 100 million and István Nyakó, spokesman of the Hungarian Socialist Party has also confirmed that the conference is not paid from party funds.
