CONCEPTUAL AGREEMENT ON SÁROSPATAK LIBRARY

Putin: ’No more 1956’. Agreement on oil transports.

After many discussions and a series of compromises a resolution has been made that Russia will give back the part of the library of the Reformed Church of Sárospatak taken in 1945 by the Soviets. Premier Gyurcsány during his visit in Moscow promised to return Russian works of art in Hungarian property. President Putin said Hungary would not be harmed by the nationalization of Yukos. The Hungarian Premier said he regarded the Soviet Red Army as the liberator of Hungary while President Putin expressed his opinion that ’1956 would not return’. Yesterday Premier Gyurcsány took part in a conference of Hungarian and Russian businessmen, too. Premier Gyurcsány said ’more Europe does not mean less of Russia’ and urged entrepreneurs to speak less and work more.
