The Minister of Agriculture would not fullfil the request of the farmers who wanted a neutral scene for their talks but Imre Németh stuck to the building of the Ministry. Today at 10 a.m. the farmers have started their demonstration again while on Saturday the protesters prepare to convene a national rally. The farmers wish to send 100 more tractors to the capital as reported to the police. The government spokesman said yesterday that Premier Gyurcsány’s confidence in Imre Németh was unshaken. According to Socialist sources they found surprising István Hiller’s comments about the rightfulness of the demands of farmers though earlier even the Minister of Agriculture had recognized this. Péter Szijjártó MP (Fidesz) yesterday called attention to the fact that the preparation of the farmers for EU regulations had been partly the task of a firm attached to Premier Gyurcsány.
