The TV viewers have found Victor Orbán’s speech about the last year more convincing than the Premier’s ’state of the nation’ speech according to the opinion poll of Kontroll Group. 54 pc of the interviewed found the speech of the chairman of Fidesz more convincing while Premier Gyurcsány'’ speech received a support of 32 pc. The 500 persons interviewed by telephone claim (61 pc) that Orbán’s speech was better. 94 pc of Fidesz voters found Orbán’s speech more convincing while 71 pc of Socialist voters found a similar advantage for Premier Gyurcsány. The ’unengaged’ voters found Orbán more energetic in a proportion of 64 :36. Most viewers liked more the first half of Gyurcsány’s speech expressing a wish for compromise but most of them found the whole speech grey and sometimes demagogic. The majority of the viewers found Orbán more dynamic and innovative who spoke about problems that interested people.
