By the end of the day the hectic changes showed some weakening of the Hungarian currency. The market thinks some international investors count on the four-day-holiday in Hungary when the Central Bank and the interbank market will be closed while the stock exchanges abroad can topple out forint from the intervention zone. The spokesman of the Central Bank said they would not give any preliminary information about a possible intervention but he excluded the option of changing or cancelling the zone.
