GYURCSÁNY’S COMPANY LOSES LAWSUIT

Though Motim Kádkő Ltd, attached to the Premier, has lost a suit in a labour court, its employees still have to work forty hours a week instead of the prescribed thirty-six ones. The Socialist government in its election promises said three years ago they would reduce the abuses of employees’ rights. The appealable verdict of the labour court has fined Motim Ltd with HUF 300 000 after the Trade Union of Chemical Workers filed a suit against the company. The court ruled like this because the employees have to work in conditions dangerous to health.
