The Prime Minister’s Office has given 95 000 students leaving secondary schools brochures with Premier Gyurcsány’s personal compliments on a bookmark. On the brochure one can read the campaign slogan ’Hungary’s gaining momentum’ and within the booklet the text of the constitution is published. The brochure is distributed when the school-leaving certificates will be presented. Several students and parents find it shocking that after a series of scandals caused by the Ministry of Education the government chooses this way to propagate its activities. László Sió MP (Fidesz) said it was a sort of self-irony that the text of the basic law is presented as a gift though the constitution has been violated by the new methods introduced in the course of the school-leaving examination. The government spokesperson said to Magyar Nemzet that the booklets had been printed by the official Gazette Publishing House for HUF 3 million.
