ANTENNA HUNGÁRIA BOUGHT BY SWISS COMPANY

The package of shares (75 pc plus one vote) of Antenna Hungária Company (AH) has been bought by a Swiss firm. The State Privatization and Holding Company announced yesterday that AH was sold to Swisscom Broadcast AG for HUF 46,76 billion. The nominal value of AH is HUF 8,91 billion.

Fidesz criticizes the government for the sale of AH and it will probably initiate an examination in the case through members delegated by it to the supervising committee of the State Privatization and Holding Company in autumn. The State Privatization and Holding Company also announced yesterday that they would decide within 6-8 weeks about the tender for Malév Hungarian Airlines. The Russian paper ’Gazeta’ yesterday wrote that Russian competitors find the purchase of Malév too risky: one of the possible winners is the Siberian Krasair Company.
