EU SUBSIDIES IN DANGER

It is a serious danger that the ministries due to the severe restrictions will not be able to provide the necessary sources when competing for next year’s EU subsidies.

There has been started a struggle among Hungarian ministries for proportions and using reserves. In this phase chiefly the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Agriculture seem to lose most (HUF 65 billion and HUF 60 billion), these ministries are mainly responsible for EU investments apart from the Prime Minister’s Office. Imre Boros, minister without portfolio in the Orbán government said the restrictions might endanger the use of EU subsidies and this would just worsen the deplorable financial policy of Hungary in this respect.
