GYURCSÁNY AS DOLLAR KING IN VIETNAM

The Hungarian government burdened with a huge budget deficit gives a non-refundable loan to Vietnam to realize a modernization programme there. The budget helps the investment of Transelektro in Vietnam with a 35 million dollar subsidy ’to increase its competitiveness’.

János Kóka, Minister of Economy said yesterday the government wanted ’to play in’ Hungarian firms to participate in the modernization projects of the Indo-Chinese country. The Hungarian Prime Minister has been accompanied on his visits in Asia by several leaders of big enterprises like those of the Wallis group and the Asia Center, but there are representatives of the Hungarian medicine industry, informatic and road construction business, too.
