STRICTER RULES FOR PRESCRIPTIONS

From July 1 private doctors may not prescribe medicines subsidized fully by health insurance, there are even limitations in the case of medicines with 90 pc subsidy.

The stricter rules might end in confusion as doctors with a private practice often prescribe medicines in state hospitals or clinics where they also practise. More complications are expected with the introduction of restrictions in treating osteoporosis and in prescriptions of different food preparations. From September there will be also changes in different social benefits and allowances, more people can receive regular social aids.
