Yesterday Premier Gyurcsány announced his plan to subsidize bills of central heating for old-age pensioners but according to the informations of Magyar Nemzet there is no government money even for earlier promises so mineral gas prices can rise in an incalculable proportion.
The public utility works have not received the state compensations for months and they are in trouble just before the heating season. Experts claim at least a 30 pc mineral gas price rise can be expected but it is also possible that public utility works send small consumers bills for the full price referring to the infringement of the contract with the state about compensations.
