TOROCZKAI EXPELLED FROM ROMANIA

László Toroczkai, chairman of the Sixty-Four Counties Youth Movement (HVIM) has not been permitted to enter Romania. The measure has not been explained either by the border patrols or by the Romanian consulate. László Toroczkai lodges a complaint with European forums and with Romanian MPs.

László Toroczkai said to Magyar Nemzet he had been harrassed for a time along with his girlfriend of Romanian citizenship by the Romanian authorities. His girlfriend has been summoned to appear in the police in Csíkszereda and has been threatened several times by the authorities who wanted her ’to cooperate’ with them. Mr Toroczkai was expelled from Serbian territory last year and the Romanian border patrols said this sanction was effective in their country, too.

It is notable that Zsolt Bayer, journalist of Magyar Nemzet was also expelled from Romania last year referring to an anti-terrorist regulation. Viktor Polgár, spokesman of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry said his ministry would deal with the problem ’in a professional way’. Last month on the scene of a programme organized by HVIM a member of the Hungarian National Security Service lost his badge and IDs.
